From the website: The Session Design Lab - FabRiders
In uncertain times, we need more than good agendas; we need participant‑centric sessions that can flex, respond, and bring people with us.
If you’re getting ready to run a workshop, training, or meeting, join the Session Design Lab to create experiences that are engaging, purposeful, and lead to meaningful outcomes.
This two-day online workshop runs for three hours each day. Our next lab will take place on Tuesday, September 29th and Wednesday, September 30th from 3 pm to 6 pm UTC (Check your time zone)
During this lab, you will establish a strong foundation in designing participatory and interactive sessions for both online and face-to-face formats. This will enable you to facilitate sessions that foster co-empowering, learning, and knowledge sharing, thereby advancing your work and that of your participants.
On the first day, we will examine adult learning theories and participant-focused session formats, such as ADIDS (Activity, Discussion, Input, Deepening, and Synthesis). The second day will concentrate on designing a session using the methods learned on the first day, with an opportunity to review your design with other participants. We will also discuss facilitation best practices and strategies for engaging participants before and after sessions.
By the end of the lab, you will have:
- A peer-reviewed session design ready for implementation.
- Enhanced skills in facilitation.
- An understanding of how to build collective power through meaningful and deliberate connections.
- Access to The Session Design Canvas
- Connected with others on a similar journey.
