# Mailcoach self-hosted - Email marketing you host yourself (not open source)

Not actually open source but self-hosted, with a paid license ([starts at 249 euro/year](https://spatie.be/products/mailcoach)). Also requires you already have a working mail server which can also be self-hosted. Interesting model worth looking into if the value provided is worth it to you. From the website:

I’m curious to look at this as an alterantive to #civicrm for self-hosted newsletters/email marketing, which is also a requirement for many organizations. Pity the license is not actually open source! 😭
