LaSuite - L'espace de travail ouvert et souverain des agents de l'État

From the repo:

LaSuite is led by the Direction Interministérielle du Numérique (DINUM) and the Agence Nationale de Cohésion des Territoires (ANCT). Several of the products offered have also been built in close collaboration with the Dutch and German governments.

Today, LaSuite is made of the following core products:

  • Tchap – the State’s secure instant messaging platform, used by more than 600,000 agents.

  • Visio – the video conferencing solution that allows you to host online meetings with confidence and security.

  • Docs – the collaborative text editor that prioritizes content over formatting.

  • Fichiers – the tool that lets you centralize your files and share them with the right people.

  • Grist – the collaborative spreadsheet that helps you structure your databases. Based on grist-core.

  • France Transfert – the tool for sending and receiving large files, designed for administrative needs.

  • Messagerie – the next-generation email client for public servants.

Additional tools are currently in development: Projets, Calendrier, Recherche, Transcription, la Régie, Messages, and l’Assistant IA.

I came across suitenumerique at fediday, when talking about nextcloud. According to the person I was talking to, Nextcloud does not scale well at the enterprise level because it is PHP and can’t easily be deployed using Kubernetes.

I haven’t researched this myself and don’t expect to have to maintain or help anyone with nextcloud beyond what can be installed in the cloud using Nextcloud AIO which so far has been stable and solid in my experience. I also do still lean towards promoting Nextcloud which is a feature rich file sharing and collaboration platform that is getting better every day.

Still intrigued and so dropping this here as a reminder to look into it at some point, along with suitenumerique being developed as an alternative by the French government.
